I wanted to box in my underground irrigation systems and the valve boxes were not a good fit. I used hypertufa in case I need to break up the box to replace tubing. Hypertufa uses a perlite in place of gravel and this makes the cement lighter and more porous. I will finish this off later with a stronger concrete lid using a Portland, sand, gravel Cement mix.
